Colin the bull is ready

Earlier in the year I went on an excursion to Taranaki to hunt feral bulls.

I nailed this massive beast from 19 yds near dawn. I used my trusty Tikka T3 .308 with a factory load of 178gr Hornady Precision Hunter ELD-X. He dropped like a stone with one shot between the eyes.

I’ve had him mounted and after head skinning him and butchering I delivered everything to Simon Bullivant from True Life Taxidermy late on the same night he was shot.

It has taken a few months but ‘Colin’, for that is what I named the bull, is ready for pick up. Simon sent me through some photos to show the finished mount that I thought I’d share with you all.

I am very happy with the result. Now I just need to find a handy wall to mount him on.
